Charger statuses are designed to answer some basic questions:

  • Can I use this charger?
  • Is this charger working properly?
  • Is this charger's activity included in reporting?

General charging status: "Availability"

This charger status provides an overview of the charger's current state. Positioned at the top of the charger information, it serves as the primary indicator of the charger's performance and condition.

Available: The charger is ready for use, with at least one charging port capable of delivering energy.

Occupied: The charger is actively engaged in a charging session. For chargers with multiple connectors, the status will display as "Occupied" even if only one port is currently occupied.

Unavailable: The charger is unable to be used due to being set to 'Inoperative' or turned off, or as a result of an error.

Unknown: This status is assigned to all newly added chargers in the system. It may indicate a charger that is either disconnected or has never been connected, awaiting its first OCPP status update for the connectors.
