Editing a Charger's Name

Renaming your chargers in InControl allows for easier organization and seamless integration into your operations. Assign names that are intuitive for your team, and these will appear consistently across all InControl pages, 

1. Navigate to the charger detail page.
• Tip: The quickest way to access this page is through the Chargers widget on your dashboard. 
2. Once on the Detail page locate the Edit Charger option to update the charger name. 

Example: 

In this example, we'll update a charger that is currently identified by its serial number to a more descriptive name. 

2. Once on the details page, locate and click the Edit Charger button. 

3. A form will prompt with all editable fields will appear, allowing you to update the charger's name. Enter a name that best suits your operation.  

4. Click Save, then review the updated charger name to ensure your changes have been applied correctly. 

Charger name changes will now be reflected throughout InControl, including on the Dashboard, Depot View, and within any reports. 

Important: After renaming a charger, its serial number will remain accessible for support, diagnostics, and reporting purposes.
