Linking Utility Rates on Site Details page

Once you've set up a utility rate in InControl, you can easily link it to other sites where the same rate plan applies, without needing to create it again.

  1. Navigate to the site detail page of the site where you want to link the existing utility rate.
  2. Click on 'Assign Rate' in the general section of your site detail page. A prompt will appear, allowing you to automatically attach an existing (or new) utility rate.

Note: "Auto-Generated" list is available for CA locations only.

To identify the exact Utility Plan, refer to How to Find Your Utility Rate Plan article or contact support@inchargeus.com

3. Once prompted, you'll see a list of utility rates that apply to your site. In the example above, since the site auto-populated rate plans based on the ZIP code of the site, you'll see both those options and the ones 'Created by you.'

4. Select the rate plan you wish to link with this site. Click 'Assign'.

Before assigning the utility rate to the site, note that all previous calculations based on the previously selected tariff (if any) are saved. The updated pricing will only apply to new sessions moving forward.

Once assigned your utility rate will appear on this site and start to implement estimated cost tracking.

Important: Ensure that the utility rate is correctly linked to your site, or you won’t be able to generate accurate cost estimates.

Once the utility rate has been linked, estimated cost per charging session and monthly demand charges will begin to be calculated.

A utility rate that has been created but is not yet linked to a site will be displayed like this:
