Exporting Session Report

Navigate to the 'Sessions' page and scroll down to the sessions report section.

Before clicking 'Export,' ensure all desired columns and filters are set, as the exported report will reflect what is shown in InControl.

File types: 

  • CSV: A plain text file with data separated by commas, good for basic data export and import. Ideal for simple use cases and compatibility with various programs.

  • XLSX: An Excel file with advanced features like multiple sheets and formatting. Best for detailed data work and when using Microsoft Excel.

The session report is used for both users and potential stakeholders to be able to:


  • Monitor and optimize the utilization of charging infrastructure.
  • Identify and address issues with specific chargers or sessions.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve service and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper functioning and availability for charging stations.

Using Your Session Report Data:


  • Track energy usage by charger, site, and account.
  • Analyze energy usage by authorization object (e.g., PIN, RFID, Vehicle) for cost accounting and session allocation, such as assigning costs to specific drivers.
  • Track energy costs (if tariffs are entered), including demand charges, and fees imposed by the utility.
  • Review monthly energy usage trends.
  • Measure environmental impact over time, broken down by vehicle, site, account, etc.
  • Examine peak charging power for different vehicles and chargers.
  • Identify time-of-day usage patterns.
