Adding RFID Card Access

RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) access uses a card that communicates wirelessly with a reader to grant or deny access. It's commonly used for secure and contactless entry to EV chargers.
How to get RFID set up on your chargers:
- Determine which charger you want RFID access on.
- Request RFID by going to your charger and requesting service within InControl.
Once submitted, our Support team will configure and ship you the RFID cards.
To add a new authorization policy after RFID access is set up, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Authorization Policies page and click 'Add Authorization Policy.'
2. Fill out the associated authorization form.
RFID on your chargers is great for enhancing the security of your operation. With RFID set up you limit the amount of access to your chargers through a card access only system. Only those with an RFID card associated with a charger will have access to using it.
3. Once set up, it will appear like this in InControl. You can always go back to edit, disable, or delete the authorization policies you've created.
